Unified Constructed Pauper is a competitive team format where three players share a card pool, and no card other than basic lands can be used more than four times across all three decks.
While individual decks must still follow standard Pauper rules using only commons, the "Unified" rule forces teams to strategically split powerful staples like Lightning Bolt, Counterspell, or Brainstorm among themselves. This creates a deeply strategic team dynamic where you cannot simply run three top-tier decks that share the same colors or key cards.
Core Unified Rules
  • Team Structure: Teams consist of three players (Player A, Player B, and Player C).
  • The 4-Card Limit: A maximum of 4 copies of any unique card is allowed across all three decks combined (e.g., if Player A runs 4 Lightning Bolts, Players B and C cannot run any).
  • Basic Lands: Basic lands are the only exception and can be used in any quantity across all decks.
  • Sideboards Included: The 4-card maximum applies to both the 60-card main decks and the 15-card sideboards combined.
